Your web page check list

Above the fold

This is the part of your page that visitors can see without scrolling

Your headline must clearly state how you can help them. Clear over clever wins every time.  If you can be specific, even better.

Don’t sell the product, sell the outcome – how will they be better off with your product?

Testimonials, ratings, media exposure – all of these help you to establish some product credibility ad trust upfront.

Use a clear button to tell your visitor what they should do next. We’re generally  inclined to follow instructions.

Show your product visually, or even better, show a smiling person using your product.

Below the fold

This is the part of your page that visitors can see by scrolling down the page

They bothered to scroll down. Tell them how their lives will be better if they use your product.

Highlight the key benefits, and explain each benefit in a sentence or two.

If you have a product, tell this story with an image, and pointers with notes.

More testimonials and social proof

They’ve made it this far, now they want some deets. Share between 3 – 5 top stand out features of your product.

Reasons to act now, and a button that is clear about how they should act.

They’re still with you, Yay! Tell them a bit about YOU, and how you are committed to helping them have a better life.

If you can, share how you have been where they are, you GET their challenge, and you know how to help them.

Make it easy for your ideal client to reach out to you!

SEO - Search Engine Optimisation

Google and other search engines want to make their visitors happy. So they study these things. When they’re sure they know what makes a googler happy, they write these rules (called algorithms) into their search code, and then, based on these sets of rules, they show people websites that they think will make them happy (i.e. satisfy their search needs).

Google now sthat googlers are an impatient lot. So they prefer sending their peeps to sites that load really quickly.

Are there some common  burning questions or objections that might prevent them from buying? Help them to see that you ge it, and have done what you can to resolve this challenge for them.

Your RubyMBA Team

RubyMBA was founded by Gilda de Araujo and Carol Chamberlain. We are both entrepreneurs who have experienced the frustrations and ‘birthing pains’ of successfully bringing a small business to fruition.

We found that traditional business education models were either too expensive, or didn’t teach us what we really needed to know. So we created RubyMBA, an affordable alternative that puts the power back in the hands of entrepreneurs.

Gilda has 30 plus years of experience in broadcast media as a sales and business growth strategist and media business leader. Gilda has helped thousands of businesses of all sizes to successfully market themselves and achieve meaningful results from their marketing campaigns. Gilda is an entrepreneur on a mission, she takes this industry seriously and is well equipped to guide you to quickly scale your reach, revenue, and impact.

Carol is the behind-the-scenes force behind RubyMBA. Having initially studied fashion design, Carol has spent most of her working life in hospitality, spending more than a decade in the game lodge industry. A solopreneur herself, Carol has her own, successful small business in the collectibles and antiques field, and is currently a published freelance writer. Carol understands the challenges posed by launching and growing a business from scratch and believes strongly that overcoming those challenges comes, in large part, from the power of small business community support and upliftment.
